American Red Cross
The charity of my choice is the Medina Chapter of the American Red Cross. I am on the board of directors of this very important and needed organization in Medina County. I am very passionate about the services that the American Red Cross offers and contrary to what many believe, the Red Cross receives NO government funding.
I personally was the recipient of more than 15 pints of blood over a 2-day period several years ago. I literally would not be here today if the Red Cross had not had that blood available for me.
Our year-end pledge drive is to ask 50 people that we know to pledge $1 per month to the Medina Chapter. Please consider making a donation.
| SO LITTLE, FROM SO MANY, CAN MEAN SO MUCH!
For just a $1, you can make a major impact in the community by helping the American Red Cross of Medina County help others. Just a $1 a month, or $12 a year, can do so much. A $12 donation can provide: · one clean-up kit to help flood victims · one case of disposable diapers for an infant rescued from a house fire · or one day of meals for an adult who has lost everything in a tornado Just click on www.medinaredcross.org to make your secure, online donation. Over the past 20 years, the local chapter has: · provided 235 families with local Disaster Relief due to fires and floods · relayed emergency communications for 925 members of the Military and their Families · trained 29,000 individuals in basic First Aid and CPR instruction · and helped in providing Blood Donations for local hospital patients No gift is too small, especially when added together with others. Thank You. |
