My hope and dream for 2010?  Continue to let it FLOW…

When I was younger and on a different career track, I spent a lot of time trying to engineer all the aspects of my life.  I thought if I planned all the details and controlled the steps towards my goals, I had a pretty good chance of achieving them.  Sometimes things worked out well; sometimes, not so much.  And I was spending a great deal of time and energy on those efforts and feeling like I was missing a great deal of balance in my life.

As I became older (isn’t that often the case?), I began to realize that the less I tried to control an outcome and, instead, put out an intention and let the rest happen, the happier I was.  And good things have been happening!  Each year, it gets easier and easier and I have witnessed even more evidence of flow happening in my life.  This past year, especially, has been tremendously powerful in terms of seeing the evidence of letting go and letting flow happen.  By more clearly defining some important choices in my life- the more I say “yes” to the things that are important to me and “no” to the things that may have been old priorities but do not apply in my life now- the better the flow.  And I try to be much more aware of the times when I find myself holding on a little too tightly, losing my flow.  So, for 2010, I will continue to invite flow into my life.

But how?

Many of you who know me know that I a big collector of quotes.  Some people collect items; I tend to collect words.  In my bedroom, I have a large mirror, which I have been filling with my favorite quotes. The quotes are a daily reminder to me that there are greater forces at play in the Universe that create far more interesting outcomes than I could ever imagine.  My word of the year, “flow,” is widely represented in these reminders.

Here are some of my favorite quotes as related to “flow.”

“Be still and know. As in, know that you are at the right place, at the right time, and all is well.”

It is from a Buddhist saying and instantly brings me peace whenever I read it.

And another:

“When we are out of the way, we then find that all our needs are met because we realize that we do not need much. Everything is already here.”

Nothing says “flow” to me more than knowing that all my needs are met…and that I don’t have to do anything except let it happen.  (I can’t remember the origin or author of this quote; if you know, please let me know.)

Lastly, (I just love the way life works regarding this next quote) I received this quote the morning that I started writing this post.  It’s from www.tut.com, a great website which Nancy has shared information about in earlier posts.  I received this quote as my daily “Thoughts from the Universe” email from TUT and thought, “What could apply more when talking about flow?”  The quote:

“When things take longer than you thought they would, it’s just a gentle reminder from your greater self (me), that you have more time than you thought, and that there’s a journey to enjoy.”

Now, how can you help create flow in your life?

Know the general dream, but don’t worry too much about engineering the details. Put some thought and intention behind describing your general hope or dream, but try to avoid creating the complete roadmap.  Often the Universe has a much better navigation system.

Allow room for the magic to happen. Don’t schedule or plan yourself to the point that there is no room in your life for the divine to intercede.  You know that saying, “Life is what happens while you’re making plans”?  It’s true.  Look for the magic in the unplanned or unscheduled spaces.  That’s where the fun is.

To borrow the words of Mike Losier regarding his work around the principle of the Law of Attraction (a wonderful gift that was introduced to me by a friend)- Quit talking about what you don’t want; instead, answer the question, “what do I want?” Sit back and watch it happen.

Breathe. In our busy lives we often forget to breathe which is highly disruptive to flow.

Try it; enjoy it!  You might see some amazing things happen.  I know I’m looking forward to seeing what will happen when I let things flow in my life this coming year!

OTHER TOOLS TO HELP WITH FLOW

“FLOW” with Jin Shin Jyutsu
by Donna Tkachyk

Simply hold your INDEX FINGER.

Our Index fingers represent FLOW, (perfect circulation).
When our index fingers are not in harmony we “look” and “hear” instead of  SEE and LISTEN. Disharmony in the index finger is the source of everything that we “lack”, lack of perception, balance in thinking, energy, & health. The lack of these and all material things begin to manifest into FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real).
As we hold our index finger, we begin to drop our shoulders and our awareness is awakened to the simple fact that all that is needed (spiritually, physically & emotionally) is within ourselves. We release the fear. There is no room for competition and comparison in our day to day living. When one is in the flow, there are no limitations, only the present state of Be-ing.

You may hold either index finger or first one then the other. Relax there is no wrong way.

CRYSTAL HEALING by Deanne Angel of Angel Healing Crystals

Energy in healthy people flows in a particular way.  However, this flow is disrupted in unhealthy bodies, emotions and minds. The objective of Crystal Healing is to correct the deviated flow by redirecting it into the proper patterns through the use of crystal energy.
Crystal Healing identifies where energy is being blocked and specific crystals are prescribed so that blocks (or stagnant energy) can be cleared… thus restoring the free flow of energy and perfect health.
Crystal Healing is conducted by a Crystal Energy Healer who has developed abilities to see, feel, hear, or sense the frequencies and the qualities of crystals.
The Crystal Healer also sees, feels, or senses an individual’s energy field and knows how to use crystals to support a person’s wellbeing.  The Healer will channel Divine energy and program a crystal with intention to specifically address the mental, physical or emotional needs of an individual.  This crystal energy will allow them to become centered, increase their energetic flow and return them to balance, harmony and health.

March Offer: Mention “The Sanctuary & Flow” and receive a free crystal healing consultation (a $50.00 value) AND receive a 20% discount off of any custom crystal pendant.  Email Deanne at DMAngel123@hotmail.com or visit her website: http://www.AngelHealingCrystals.com
