Barbara Hribar-Spiritual Leader, Unity Life Enrichment Center

Barbara Hribar is the Spiritual Leader of Unity Life Enrichment Center.   Unity of Medina at the Unity Life Enrichment Center is a community that welcomes everyone on a learning path of spiritual, holistic living.

Barbara’s Credentials

•    Certified herbalist, national corporate health and business trainer for Nature’s Sunshine Corporation 1990-2002.  Continues as independent instructor in the area of herbal remedies.
•    Certified in and instructor of Enneagram.
•    Parent and Teacher Coach Barbara has received extensive training in Conscious Discipline® by Dr. Becky Bailey.  Barbara is the mother of 4 adult children and is Montessori certified pre-school through kindergarten.  She is also a former 9th grade English teacher and Sunday school teacher, preschool through high school.

As spiritual leader at Unity Life Enrichment Center, Rev. Barbara’s Unity studies began in 1980, becoming a Licensed Unity Teacher in 2002.  Moving into her new home in Medina in 2002,  Barbara accepted an invitation to form a Unity study group.  With a passion for reading, sharing, encouraging, leading and interacting with other Unity minded folks, the group was approved as an official study group with the Association of Unity Churches Worldwide Services on September 4, 2002.  Barbara became the founding spiritual leader and administrator at that time.  Accepting the challenge to pioneer a study group, Barbara has held to her vision of serving and supporting individuals on their spiritual path.

An Interview with Barbara…

1. When did your business or organization get started?
Unity began as a spiritual study group at Williams on the Lake on Wednesday nights Sept. 2002.

What circumstances led to its creation?
Folks who met at the former Herb Store in Medina were looking for someone who qualified to lead a Unity group in Medina…a call was made to me and I accepted the lead.

2. What inspires you to help others?
We are all one; we are designed to love and support each other on this amazing journey of life.

3. What is your greatest success story with a client?
See both adults and children become free of fear and find a new way of being that is relaxed, confident and spiritually satisfied in their growing, expanding consciousness.

4. What would people be surprised to know about you?
We are an inclusive community offering a wide variety of opportunities for growth through classes, meditation, movies, entertainment and a lending library of a metaphysical nature.  We have frequent special guest presenters and our website shares that in a vibrant way!

5. What are your favorite books and movies?
Authors such as Louise Hay, Eric Butterworth, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, Wayne Dyer and other inspirational writers.  We have a library of Spiritual Cinema.

6. What do you love to do when you aren’t working?
Unity is about cooperation and working and experiencing life together in a fun, playful way.
The women meet monthly and each month is new and different, a play, treasure mapping, a ceremony, snacks and meaningful conversation.  The men will resume their monthly gatherings soon.
