An Interview with Colleen

1. When did your business or organization get started?
I passed my State Boards in June of 1990 and began my full-time practice in July of 1990.

2.  What inspires you to help others?
I love working one-on-one with my clients to guide them further into a more conscious, healthy lifestyle.  As long as I can remember, my passions have been in the area of non-traditional medicine and nutrition.  Educating clients in these areas and witnessing changes is what keeps me motivated.

3. What is your greatest success story with a client?
I feel it is all worth it when I see the joy on the face of my 89 year old client after his session.

4. What would people be surprised to know about you?
When I lived in Canada, I volunteered at the Center Against Sexual Assault (CASA).  I assisted women to the hospital for a forensic exam after their assault.  And when they were ready, I helped them work through their pain.  I also co-led a teenage incest group.  After Canada, I moved to Arizona where I volunteered at the Rape Crisis Center.  I have a strong conviction for women’s concerns.

5. What are your favorite books and movies?
A few of my favorite movies are Being There with Peter Sellers, Whale Rider, Himalaya and Lord of the Rings.
As for books, I wish I had more time to read.  The ones that stand out and have made a difference in my spiritual life are The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav and the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

6. What do you do when you aren’t working?
Music is a big part of my life, many types of music.
I love being outdoors in the fresh air.  Summer is my favorite time of year.  I cycle, kayak, hike and camp out with my fiance.  In the cold months, I keep up my walks, but, tend to stay indoors more and watch good movies curled up with my kitties next to our fireplace.
