Tina Zalewski-Massage Therapist

Tina Zalewski, LMT

I studied Massage Therapy at the Cleveland Institute of Medical Massage and received my Ohio license in January of 2005. I’ve attended workshops and home study courses for fascial release, pregnancy massage, hot stone massage and aromatherapy.  I have worked with a chiropractor for 6 years while maintaining a small private practice, The Healing Room, in Hinckley. My goals are to support, educate, and empower people to reach their health goals. Massage Therapy is an important element in your health care, helping you to achieve and maintain better health. I practice deep tissue massage, fascial release and trigger point work. My favorite type of massage to give are Hot Stone Massage, which can include a relaxation meditation and tuning fork chakra balance. I love to be in the outdoors spending time with Nature and pursuing my interest in Native American healing.

An Interview with Tina…

1. When did your business or organization get started? What circumstances led to its creation?

I started doing Massage Therapy in 2005 when I received my Ohio State License. I became a Massage Therapist because I see so many people living with chronic pain and I wanted to help them relieve their pain and learn that many times you don’t have to live with it. There are alternatives and Massage Therapy is a great alternative.

2. What inspires you to help others?

I am inspired when I see the faces of people after they have received a massage. They have let go of the stress even if it’s only for a moment. They often look peaceful.

3. What is your greatest success story with a client?

I feel my greatest successes are when I see my clients understand the connection between body, mind and spirit. So many people seem disconnected and it’s great to see when they put the pieces together that the pain they are having can be related to how they feel emotionally.

4. What would people be surprised to know about you?

I think people would be surprised to know my family lived in the US Virgin Islands on the island of St Croix for 3 years. That’s where I learned my love for Nature.

5. What are your favorite books and movies?

I like books and movies that make me laugh and entertain me. I also like to read books on spirituality and Native American Healing.

6. What do you love to do when you aren’t working?

I love to be outside hiking, kayaking or playing with my dog.
